Battle of the micellar solutions/waters | L’Oréal vs Bioderma Strijd van de micellaire wateren | L’Oréal vs Bioderma

Something probably every beauty blogger already tried is a micellar solution. These got very popular when Bioderma first came out with one but a lot of other brands got on the bandwagon and so I wanted to try them too! In this post I will give my opinion on two micellar solution: The L’Oréal one and the Bioderma one.

Iets dat waarschijnlijk iedere beauty blogger al geprobeerd heeft is een micellair water. Deze zijn zo populair geworden toen Bioderma voor het eerst met eentje uitkwam. Een heel aantal zijn gevolgd en daarom wou ik er graag enkele proberen. In dit artikel geef ik mijn mening over twee merken: Deze van L’Oréal en van Bioderma.

Bioderma – Sensible H20 Micellar Solution Sensitive Skin

I got this in my first Deauty box and was super happy because I really wanted this! When I first tried this I was amazed at how well it took my makeup of. I just used 2 cotton rounds with some of the product, laid them on my eyes for a few seconds and wipe of the makeup. Than I took another cotton round with product to remove my face makeup. To remove every single bit of makeup with Bioderma, I use about 5 cotton rounds (depends on how much makeup I’m wearing), so I do use quite a bit of product. I do think it is a little expensive for the amount of product you get but it leaves my skin very clean and soft and doesn’t irritate at all while I do have sensitive skin.

Bioderma – Sensible H20 Micellar Solution Gevoelige Huid

Ik kreeg dit in mijn eerste Deauty box en daar was ik enorm blij mee omdat ik het graag eens wou hebben! Toen ik dit voor de eerste keer probeerde was ik verbaasd over hoe goed dit mijn makeup verwijderde. Ik nam gewoon 2 wattenschijfjes met wat product op, legde ze voor een paar seconden op mijn ogen en veegde dan de makeup af. Daarna nam ik nog een wattenschijfje voor mijn gezicht. Om echt alle makeup te verwijderen met Bioderma, heb ik ongeveer 5 wattenschijfjes nodig (hangt ervan af hoeveel makeup ik draag), dus ik heb redelijk wat product nodig. Ik vind het persoonlijk wel aan de dure kant voor de hoeveelheid die je krijgt, maar mijn gezicht voelt achteraf enorm proper en zacht en het irriteert helemaal niet terwijl ik toch wel een gevoelige huid heb.

L’Oréal – Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution (Diferently called in Belgium)

When it comes to the L’Oréal one, I use the same method to remove my makeup. I use about the same amount of product but keeping in mind that this is way less expensive than the Bioderma one, this to me seems a better deal. Next to the advantage in price, this one also removes my eye makeup better! It leaves my skin feeling the same as with the Bioderma one (although I’ve heard people saying it irritates their skin, I doesn’t irritate mine at all) and you get a lot more product for a better price.

L’Oréal – Sublime Soft Verzachtend Micellair Water 3 in 1

Als het op de versie van L’Oréal aankomt, gebruik ik dezelfde methode om mijn makeup te verwijderen. Ik gebruik ongeveer dezelfde hoeveelheid maar wanneer je eraan denkt dat deze veel goedkoper is dan die van Bioderma, is dit een betere deal volgens mij. Naast het voordeel van de prijs, vind ik persoonlijk ook dat deze mijn oogmake-up beter verwijdert. Mijn huid voelt achteraf hetzelfde als wanneer ik Bioderma gebruik (hoewel ik al gelezen heb dat het de huid irriteert, doet het dat bij mij totaal niet) en je krijgt veel meer product voor een betere prijs.

Which one will I be repurchasing?

I’m almost out of both at this moment so I will have to repurchase one of them soon. For me this battle is very clear: L’Oréal is the winner. Both Bioderma and L’Oréal do the same, but L’Oréal does it a little better and is cheaper. The one from L’Oréal will soon be purchased!

Welke ga ik opnieuw kopen?

Beide heb ik ondertussen bijna opgebruikt dus ik moet binnenkort maar eens een nieuwe kopen. Voor mij is deze battle duidelijk: L’Oréal wint. Zowel Bioderma als L’Oréal doen hetzelfde, maar L’Oréal doet het net iets beter en is goedkoper. De versie van L’Oréal zal dus snel opnieuw gekocht worden!
